Treatment of Hematuria

Hematuria is more of a sign of a condition rather than a disease itself. So treatment depends on the underlying cause of bleeding. For example, if hematuria is caused by a urinary tract infection, your doctor may prescribe antibiotics. If a kidney stone passing through the tract is causing it, treatment to remove the stone is needed.

When no serious condition is causing hematuria, no treatment is necessary.
